We’re getting ready for a pirate party here at FGB headquarters.
This week we made invitations. Plastic bottles, sand, shells & a pirate treasure map.
For the maps we used these free printable invitations thanks to Betsy from B.Nute.
How far in advance do you start planning your kids parties?
Any pirate party ideas for me?

Those invitations are ace!! We went to pirate party on the weekend. THere was a game where a plank was placed across some large cushions, making it a bit wonky, and the kids walked over it while music played and if you were not on the the plank when the music stopped then you were out. It was fun! And how about pin the patch on the pirate?
Oh my gosh, they are simply terrific! Clever Lady once again!!!! Love teh finishing touches of adding sand and shells.
Hi Em Here's a photo of our pirate party http://www.lifeonplanetbaby.com/2010/09/life-in-mother-baby-unit-part-2.html. I can send you more if you are interested in how we rigged up the dinghy! J x

Oh WOW! These look magnificent Emma, you plan a mean party. Great theme, can't wait to see the pics xo
Is two months in advance too far? Will is dying to have a Halloween party and dress up as a ghost along with a ghost cake : )
Oe Pirate idea we used was to buy a couple of bags of 'jewels' from the $2 shop and bury them down the back in a big patch of dirt. They dug for ages then swapped colours and compared booty i the little fabric party bags we'd made them. Lots of fun. I miss the pirates!
I just found you and love everything! Your party ideas are great!
Lovely hugs
Will come back
Molly
LOOOOOOVE! Can't wait for this one, Em. x
You are one clever chick Emma! Love the bottles. We did the same thing, except in little glass bottles. But the same cool 'message in a bottle' concept! Can't wait to see how you do a pirate party! xxx
