The Winner is….

And the winner of the Frog Goose & Bear Handmade Giveaway is….

Catherine from A Time to Create!

I am pretty stoked that Catherine won as she has been a reader of FGB from the early days and I have always enjoyed reading her blog.  It is a lovely place in blogland that is well worth a visit.

Thank you so much for all of the lovely & encouraging comments about Frog Goose & Bear and the suggestions & support for an online shop.  Truly appreciate!

Markets, Blogiversaries & a Giveaway!

Thanks so much for all of your encouraging comments for my first ever real market last Saturday.  I had such a great time!  It was such a buzz that we’ve booked in to do another!  Thanks to all the people who came to say hi!  So awesome to meet some bloggy buddies IRL* as well!
On another note, over the Easter holidays this little blog turned two!  Life has since continued on at it’s usual rapid rate and the blog quietly slid into it’s third year with me barely finding time to scratch together a post, but I really wanted a chance to thank you all so much for making this blogging caper such an invaluable part of my journey.

Fortuitously, post market, I now have a nice little handful of goodies that I’d love to give away to one lovely Frog, Goose & Bear reader as a way of saying thanks!

In this ‘Frog, Goose & Bear Giveaway Pack’ you’ll find……

One rainbow cloud vertical garland**, one mini map bunting, one clay birdie, two fabric covered cards, one origami bunting card and two fabric covered hairties.

Simply comment on this post to go into the draw.***  While you’re there you might like to share what you would like to see in a ‘Frog Goose & Bear’ etsy/madeit store if there was ever to be one.

Entries close next Friday (18 May).
A winner will be randomly selected sometime next weekend.

* in real life
** 2m in length (unlike the one pictured).
*** If you don’t have a blog, you can enter too!  Just make sure that your email address is included in your comment so that I can contact you!

* for teamwork – now that Mr FGB is around a lot more, I’m really appreciating the value of being a team in this parenting gig. You can do so much more when you are not spread quite so thinly.

* for breathing – I feel like I can breathe slowly again. Exhale. Not feeling quite so restricted. I’m still living a very busy life, but it feels like a rather dreamy, surreal & blissful existence at the moment – I’m waiting for the bubble to burst – is that sad?

* for hindsight – though it’s never fun while you’re in the thick of it, when looking back over tough times you can see how they have moulded and shaped you into who you have become and help you to appreciate the good times all the more!

* for the gorgeous handmade heartshaped crocheted garland giveaway that I won from the talented Lioness Lady – I’m loving the splash of color it brings – thanks so much!

What are you grateful for this Saturday?

I am so excited to show you some gorgeous artwork of a beautiful and very talented friend of mine!
Jane has just started a new little venture called ‘Frankenbelle’ which sells, as she calls it, “monstrous beautiful truth”. Using scrabble tiles combined with vintage fabrics, wallpapers and other items that match perfectly with the word or phrase, they can’t help but evoke reflection. I think she is so very clever & talented!

In the blogworld it seems ‘the thing to do’ to hold a giveaway on memorable occasions, ie. 100 blog followers (which I now have – how exciting!) so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to show you Jane’s very cool and very inspirational artwork by having a giveaway! Also, as a way to say thank you to all of you in this blogging community who have helped to keep me sane over the past 6 months since I first began blogging!

I will give away one set of 9 postcards which have the words – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self-control. Envelopes are included if you’d like to send them as postcards to friends.

I have them stuck on my wall as a constant reminder of these beautiful qualities. They look absolutely fantastic when framed and strike me as being perfect fridge material (particularly the ‘self-control’ or ‘patience’ ones!)

If you’d like to enter the giveaway, simply write a comment below and I’ll randomly choose a winner by getting one of the kids to draw one out of a hat. Entries will close midnight next Thursday 4th. November.*

Don’t forget to include your email address so that I can contact you if you’re the winner!
Extra entry into the drawer if you mention the giveaway on your blog!

To see all 9 of these very funky and reflective prints check out her etsy and made it stores. At least 8 more prints to be added soon. There will more than a few of these packs included in my Christmas presents this year! You can purchase them individually for a very reasonable price or as a set of 9.

* You don’t have to have a blog to enter – simply click on the comments button next to the envelope at the bottom of this post, choose the ‘Name/URL’ or ‘Anonymous’ option. But don’t forget to include your email address.

Buttons by Lou Lou is having a giveaway!

I know that I am biased, but her stuff really is absolutely gorgeous and I’ve seen her make thousands of buttons. I know what good quality they are! My daughters get her “rejects” (she only has sons – lucky me!) and believe me only she could see the imperfections! I certainly can’t. That’s how particular she is!
Every single one of our friends gets her products for birthdays! So easy to send in the mail and they are great for party favours also!

This Alice in Wonderland brooch just may be up for grabs. Head on over and find out.

PRETTY PRINTABLES {links, freebies & giveaways}

Spending quite a bit of my time at home, I think it is important
- a ‘good for the soul’ kind of thing –
to have nice things around you, but it is often tricky to justify the expense, so one of the my favourite things at the moment are printable pdf’s! For just a few dollars you can print something up as many times as you like and use it as often as you like for as many different purposes as you like. Once again, putting a little beauty & fun into the everyday mundane things of life. The one above usually has my shopping lists written on it, the odd note left on the front door, my daughter’s “what to do before school” jobs or printed up on nice card & wrapped in ribbon as a gift for a friend.

You can get printable calendars, gift cards, lists, writing sets, recipe cards, party decorations and a thousand other things. Here are a few of my favourites:

I could go on forever really…

and there are plenty of freebies as well, you just need to know where to find them….
try these for a start:

They are fantastic for parties, as I’ve mentioned before, and I am very excited that Sarah from Style Me Gorgeous is just about to introduce a range of party printables. She already has some gorgeous free printable coloring pages that we use often in this house. Sarah is currently having a competition to win one of her ‘about to be introduced’ party printables. Her stuff is just gorgeous (probably the best I’ve seen) and I would recommend heading over and entering!

How very exciting to receive in the mail yesterday a lovely little package from Aimee from Greentree just to say thank you for the fun little prize pack that she won in my last minute, just-for-fun yellow competition. You really didn’t have to – so generous, but THANK YOU – your stuff is gorgeous!
The little Frog needed to put 3 hair clips in all at once! She thought the keyring was a biscuit, so started chomping down before I rescued it from her slobbery clutches!

Speaking of receiving gorgeous things in the mail from other very talented bloggers, Here we go Loopy Lou has a giveaway going on at the moment that I would very much like to win…..
